Evolve Skate Camp is proud to be a part of the Rodney Mullen night at the Drake Hotel. Rodney Mullen will be joining the Toronto Art and Skate Community for a talk on stage at the Drake Hotel, June 23 at 6pm.

The talk will touch on Rodney’s extensive skate history and how that has evolved to his collaboration with film maker/artist Shaun Gladwell,  a former pro skater from Australia.

This will be for a very small audience, so it’s an incredible opportunity to see/meet the god father of street skating.

About Rodney Mullen

John Rodney Mullen is an American professional skateboarder, entrepreneur, inventor, and public speaker who practices freestyle and street skateboarding. Mullen is credited with inventing numerous skateboarding tricks, including the flatground ollie, kickflip, heelflip, impossible, and 360-flip (also commonly known as the ‘tre-flip’ or ‘3-flip’). Mullen has appeared in over 20 skateboarding videos and has co-authored an autobiography, entitled The Mutt: How to Skateboard and Not Kill Yourself, with writer Sean Mortimer

Shaun Gladwell works predominantly in video and performance. His works are shot in natural and urban environments and explore the relationship between landscapes and people. He has exhibited in Australia and internationally.
