ISA Championship Competition 2015 – Total Recap

The biggest competition in the freestyle scooter scene came to a close last weekend, and we are already feeling a little bit nostalgic about it all.

Here is an overview of the 2015 ISA World Championship – from start to finish.

 

The Qualifiers

This national competition started out with 14 qualifying rounds hosted in 8 different countries. Australia, Austria, Canada, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Russia, the UK, and the United States were among the participating countries. New Zealand was the first to hold their ISA qualifier back in January, and the rest were to follow.

The Regional Finals

Next came the regional finals – where the top 10 from each of the qualifying rounds got a chance to compete for a spot in the World Finals in Barcelona. The Regional Finals were held at Sincity in Las Vegas for the North American Championship, at Kaktus Scoot Battle in Poland for the European Championships, and at the Monster Skatepark in Sydney for the Australasia Championship.

The World Finals

The World Finals were held at the LKXA Extreme Barcelona Action Sports Event just last weekend. This event is one of a kind and brings together extreme sports fans from all corners of the globe. This year celebrated the 6th annual Extreme Barcelona Games. The event was complete with Longboard, Skateboard, BMX, Freestyle Motocross,, and of course Scooter Competitions.
